What Do Women Want? Strippers and BDSM?

What do women these days want? Well, besides a live-in maid and chef.

If we go by recent movie ticket sales and book sales, I think it’s pretty clear. Fifty Shades of Grey tops bestseller book lists, and women are flocking to see the movie Magic Mike three or four different times. I have one friend who has seen it five times and wants to see it again next weekend.

What would our grandmothers say about this blatant lusting for hot men and kinky sex? I don’t know about your grandmother, but mine would probably say “it’s about time women feel comfortable enough to be honest about what they want.”

When it comes down to it, I think women want to be romanced. Doesn’t it feel good to know a man is thinking about you when you’re not with him? Even if he’s thinking about you while buying zip ties and furry handcuffs. Sometimes flowers might fit the bill, but maybe handcuffs are worth a try…something different, something to spice up the marriage that has turned into more of a “buddies who watch TV together” relationship than a husband-wife-deeply-in-love one.
Isn’t it fun to flirt with a man and have him flirt back? Good-looking male strippers can rev our motors and have us heading back home for some “quality together” time with our significant other. A book about BDSM might be fun to read about, but maybe we’re not into the act itself. Yet, chances are we’re feeling a little friskier than usual after finishing the last page.

Romance is fun. Sex is fun. Reading about it, and watching it on the big screen is a great escape. It doesn’t mean we want to be spanked, or to spend every night at a strip club, but it does mean we like to have fun and we want our men thinking about us, making us a priority. And if they’re lucky, it’ll put us in the mood for some hankie pankie, too.

And be sure to heat things up by reading my latest menage release where the heroine gets a heck of a birthday present, BIRTHDAY THREESOME!

AVAILABLE NOW: TRIPLE HEAT, BIRTHDAY THREESOME. COMING SOON: A Halloween ménage story and a Christmas ménage story.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Yes, it IS about time we women made it clear that sex and romance are important. I think people read romance novels for the vicarious thrill of falling in love. If you're single you can still experience that high, and if you're attached/married you can recreate it.
